MES — Manufacturing Execution System
A MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is the layer between the production plan and what actually happens on the shop floor: it breaks work orders into operations, collects shop-floor data and monitors how production is executed.
We design and build plant-specific MES modules that work together with your existing ERP and automation infrastructure. Which modules are needed is decided by a process analysis; you do not have to adopt all of them at once.

Project scope
- Work order and operation tracking
- Comparison of planned and actual production
- Operator terminal screens and production reporting
- Quality records and batch/serial traceability
- Work order and stock data exchange with ERP; data acquisition from PLC and SCADA (depending on available interfaces)
- Production reports and dashboards
This page describes the scope of our software development and integration capability. It makes no claim about completed projects, customer results or an off-the-shelf product; scope, timeline and integrations are defined after a needs analysis.
Frequently asked questions
What is MES?
MES is the software layer that monitors and manages production execution on the factory floor. It brings together work orders, operations, actual output and quality records.
What is the difference between MES and ERP?
ERP manages business processes such as orders, inventory and finance. MES focuses on the real-time execution of production at plant or line level. In most projects the two exchange data and work together.
How is integration with ERP, PLC and SCADA done?
Integration is designed around the interfaces the other system offers (database, web service, OPC UA, Modbus and so on). Which data flows in which direction is decided during analysis.
Should we start with the whole plant or a single line?
Starting with one line or one process and expanding usually lowers risk. This is a recommendation; the exact approach follows from the needs analysis.
